Join us at Mount Sinai to receive Torah and cheesecake! There will be study, a panel discussion, and an interactive exercise with Torah verses, followed by a short Maariv service and dessert. Please pre-register so we xerox enough study materials, set up enough chairs, and have enough cheesecake! This program is co-sponsored with Temple Anshe Amunim. -

"Jacob's Torah" is a dramatic reading of the odyssey of a mystical Torah and the people who loved and protected it. Written by the late Jesse Waldinger and directed by Barbara Waldinger, the play was inspired by a family story of Berkshire County resident (and KI member), Phil Halpern. Co-sponsored with Temple Anshe Amunim and OLLI. Refreshments will be served. -

Climb up Thoreau’s favorite Bellows Pipe Trail, enjoy the summit, then descend the curvy, heavily wooded Gould Trail. This is a steep, relentless, and rewarding ascent - shorter than climbing the mountain from the Williamstown side but still demanding. It is only suitable for people with strong knees, ankles, and hearts and some confidence on the trail. Leashed dogs accustomed to long hikes are welcome. Bring snacks, water, and a warm layer for the summit. Strenuous, 7+ miles, 2200’, 4-5 hours No rain date. Meet at KI at 10 a.m. to carpool or at the trailhead at Greylock Glen around 10:40.
