Divorce

Divorce is sometimes necessary, the best path forward for two people whose lives have grown apart.

Conservative movement standards require that Jewish divorce take place after the civil divorce has been finalized. A husband initiates a Jewish divorce by commissioning the writing of a bill of divorce (“Get”) and its delivery to his ex-wife, in person or by proxy. Through the network of the Rabbinical Assembly, Rabbi Weiner can make all the necessary arrangements for the commissioning and delivery of a Get.

The Rabbi is also available for counseling.
